Homework
I have a few expectations that I feel are important for each student. Completing homework helps your student apply the concepts learned in the classroom while working in another setting. Your student will have math homework on most nights. Please stress the importance of this homework! If the homework is not completed and turned in the following morning, your student will be responsible for completing this homework during the first recess of the day.
I also assign students to read at least 15 minutes each night. I hope to encourage your student to get into the habit of reading daily. This can be done independently, by reading to siblings, or by reading to adults. As long as your child is reading, he or she is getting in some great practice!
